OUR HISTORY


Past

Manna Distributors can trace its roots back to a Company named Red Tag Appliances, which was founded in 1978 by Richard Nahman and Wayne Maltz. Red Tag Appliances was around for five years.

Red Tag Appliances was a retail dealer of appliances and electronics. The company sold refrigerators, ranges, cook-tops, ovens, dish washers, microwaves, washers, dryers, big-screen TVs, betamax and VHS players.

Red Tag Appliances had 5 locations throughout the greater Houston metro. They were used as showrooms and warehouses. Shoppers browsed the latest and greatest in appliance and electronics brands. They could also will-call products from these locations or arrange for them to be delivered.


PRESENT

Manna Distributors was founded in 1983. The Company is still owned by the family that founded Red Tag Appliances in 1978. The Company is well known in Southeast Texas, and it has completed countless numbers of projects throughout the years. The Company is headquartered in Houston, TX, where its main warehouse and showroom - called COOKCHILL - are located. But the Company also sells into Austin and San Antonio.

Manna Distributors is a residential and commercial appliance dealer, a subcontractor, and a service Company. Manna sells residential appliances, food service equipment, and commercial laundry equipment. The Company also delivers, installs, and services them.

Manna Distributors sells many types of equipment, both residential and commercial. Manna sells residential appliances such as cleaning, coffee, cooking, water, outdoor, refrigeration and ventilation. Some of the residential brands it sells are Gaggenau, Thermador, Bosch, Liebherr, GE, Electrolux, Frigidaire, Dry Ager, Cafe, Zip Water, Monogram, Bluestar, True, Viking, BEST, Sub-Zero, Wolf, Cove, Fisher&Paykel, DCS, Miele, AGA, La Cornue, Marvel, Hoshizaki, Perlick, Bertazzoni, and U-line.

Manna sells commercial appliances such as ware washing, beverage, cooking, baking, ventilation, preparation, refrigeration, ice-making, sinks, tables, faucets, serving/ displaying, counter-top, storing, holding, specialty, stainless, and cleaning. Manna sells many different brands from, commodity to ultra luxury. Some of the commercial brands Manna sells are Southbend, Pitco, Captive Aire, Turbo Chef, ACP, Carter Hoffman, Metro, Imperial, Continental, True, Turbo Air, Everest, Thermalite, Oscaltek, Globe, APW, Wyott, Atlas, Savannah, Advanced, Tabco, Meiko, Salvajor, Hoshizaki, Marco, and Manitowoc.


FUTURE

Manna Distributors is making key investments to increase customer satisfaction and manage new growth. The Company is currently investing in people, facilities, and infrastructure. One of its marquee investments is COOKCHILL, a new shopping concept. The Company is also hiring personnel for its sales and operations teams.

Manna Distributors’ new shopping concept, COOKCHILL, is a major investment for the company. The Company is changing how kitchen and laundry equipment is purchased. COOKCHILL is a two-story showroom located in Houston’s Upper Kirby District. It has more than 15 live kitchens and 500 pieces of residential and commercial appliances. Most of the kitchens are organized by brand and there are also some kitchens that are a mix of various brands. But they all have one thing in common. They are all live and ready for whatever cooling, prepping, cooking, and cleaning tasks our prospects, customers, and Chefs demand.

Manna Distributors is also upgrading its infrastructure and hiring new personnel to provide better service and capabilities. It is making investments in new warehouse space, software, equipment, and vehicles. The Company is also hiring new personnel and it has a particular focus on service technicians to bolster it service capabilities and response time.
